amc² assists in the design and implementation of sustainable development solutions
Construction industry practices have undergone a radical and fundamental evolution to integrate sustainable development. The renovation sector has followed this trend, with increased attention to energy efficiency of points of sale, the contribution of materials to air quality and traceability of wood used in furniture to ensure that it isn’t derived from a prohibited deforestation source.
A showcase of your commitment
amc² aims to assist its clients with these new challenges, because we are convinced that sustainable development is part of the total quality that is expected today, and that shops will become one of a brands’ showcase of its commitment to responsibility.
Examples of sustainable development solutions
According to your specifications (HQE, LEED, BREEAM, PHPE, etc.), we support you throughout the project and help you implement the most efficient solutions.
« CLEAN SITE »
HQE:
target 3 – Construction with low environmental impact
LEED:
sustainable sites
BREEAM:
management, materials and waste issues
Why this theme?
- 4.9% of construction site waste is recycled in France (2011).
- 70% of construction site waste will have to be recycled by 2020 (Directive 2008/98/EC).
What do we offer?
- Assessment of demolition and renovation waste management
- Sorting and recycling of demolition and renovation waste
- Safe disposal of hazardous waste
- Waste management traceability systems
- Implementation of devices to reduce pollution for local residents (telephone numbers, organisation of work)
- Prevention measures for all local pollution (soil, water, air)
RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS
HQE:
target 2 – Integrated choice of products, systems, materials and construction processes
LEED: materials and resources
BREEAM: materials and management issues
Why this issue?
- Illegal timber represents 20 to 40% of wood imported into France
- Environmental labels exist for the majority of construction products
- The impact of construction products on air quality will require mandatory labelling beginning in 2013.
What do we offer?
- Collection and consolidation of INIES files of materials and products
- Identification of references of the most responsible materials according to your priority issues (air quality, fight against deforestation, global environmental approach)
« ENERGY OPTIMISATION»
HQE:
target 4 – Energy management
LEED: energy and atmosphere
BREEAM: energy and pollution issues
Why this theme?
- The thermal regulation of existing buildings imposes requirements on equipment and materials that have an impact on energy consumption (lighting, insulation, etc.)
- Lighting accounts for 25 to 50% of a point of sales’ energy consumption
What do we offer?
- Recommendation of efficient energy consumption products (lighting, heating / air conditioning / ventilation, insulation, timers, etc.)
- · Quantification of economic and CO2 benefits of efficient lighting solutions
